Nokia in conjunction with the University of Technology Sydney is developing a sophisticated IoT solution using ultra-low latencies and high-speed technologies like 5G. The IT giant has collaborated its expertise with UTS to breath life into the educational institute’s plans.
After the partnership, Nokia started its work on advanced engineering projects to ensure the development of robust network service to address the needs of both service provider and enterprise.
Both companies will work rigorously for new achievements. Nokia will provide all the required technology and tools to the University including opticals, IP routing, 4G and 5G mobile network. Nokia will also look after the applications and analytics required to handle this project. Nokia also participated in the UTS Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology advisory board.
Both companies are combining their efforts to integrate video downloads around the world via Nokia OZO virtual reality camera and send them to UTS 3D data arena. The will allow businesses to use 3D videos to explore new services and opportunities.
According to Ray Owen (spokesperson of Nokia) -“Through this collaboration with UTS we can share both our expertise and our technologies, and help drive Australia’s digital transformation. In turn, we will benefit from gaining even greater insight into how IoT can be applied to solve the real-world issues of our customers.”
More than 300 researchers are always working at University’s Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology. Both companies have a collaborative history of 18 years, and UTS is a key member of Nokia’s Australian graduate program.
